WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FALL ARREST AND FALL RESTRAINT?
FALL RESTRAINT: A fall restraint system consists of the equipment used to keep an employee from reaching a fall point, such as the edge of a roof or the edge of an elevated working surface.
FALL ARREST: According to the definition in the Federal OSHA standard, a personal fall arrest system means a system used to arrest an employee in a fall from a working level.
WHY ARE THE FALL RESTRAINT TIE-OFF RINGS ORANGE?
The Fall Restraint Tie-Off Rings are orange in order to differentiate between fall arrest and fall restraint. On all the new 2009 models of the R1000 and Tri-Rex, the Fall Arrest Tie-Off Rings are green; on all previous models of the R1000, the Fall Restraint Tie-Off Rings are red.
HOW MANY CAN I INSTALL ON THE R1000 OR TRIREX?
Two is the maximum number of Fall Restraint Tie-Off Rings that can be installed on any AES Mobile fall protection cart.
*Note: If other options such as the Raptor Alert or the Raptor Rescue System are installed on the R1000, it may restrict the use of the Fall Restraint Tie-Off Rings .
CAN I INSTALL THE FALL RESTRAINT TIE-OFF RINGS ON MY EXISTING R1000?
Yes, the Fall Restraint Tie-Off Rings can be installed on any previous version of the R1000.
ARE THE FALL RESTRAINT TIE-OFF RINGS EASY TO INSTALL?
Yes. Simply hook the Fall Restraint Tie-Off Ring to the frame rail of any AES Mobile fall protection cart and securely fasten with the supplied ¾" bolt and hex nut.
