 Replace your R1000's carabiner system with the even-stronger Dogbone system.* This upgrade allows earlier models of the R1000 to also support two for fall arrest or two for fall restraint, just like its newer counterparts.

Not sure if you need the upgrade? Check to see if your R1000 uses the carabiner system.  All newer models of the R1000s are built with the Dogbone system. If your R1000 was purchased before 2009, it might benefit from this upgrade.
