Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT IS THE AES RAPTOR ALERT?
The Raptor Alert is both a visual and audible alerting system that is activated when the Fall Arrest Engagement Arm is engaged.
WHY DO I WANT THE RAPTOR ALERT?
Job sites are often very busy and noisy, if a fall was to occur; time is of the essence when it comes to rescuing a fallen worker. The Raptor Alert assures you that you and everyone on the jobsite are aware of the situation as soon as a fall has occurred so safety measures can be implemented immediately
HOW DOES IT WORK?
If a fall were to occur, the Raptor Alert’s magnetic proximity switch activates, thus closing the circuit, turning on the highly visible amber strobe light and the 130 decibel siren.
IS THE RAPTOR ALERT ADAPTABLE TO MY EXISTING R1000, TRIREX, OR STINGER?
Yes.
HOW DO I TEST THE RAPTOR ALERT TO SEE IF IT’S WORKING CORRECTLY?
At the beginning of each shift a competent individual needs to inspect the Fall Arrest Engagement Arm to make sure it is free and clear of all obstructions, then simply press down on the Engagement Arm for 5 to 10 seconds to insure the alarm and strobe light are working properly.
